I missed the part where you explained why Macs aren’t safer? They suddenly have just as many viruses? Hell even a single one?

This type of FUD story has been published for years. If this is your first introduction to it, congratulations, you successfully buried your head in the sand.

This entry is just to serve as a friendly warning to Mac users, as they always think they are safe and therefore take no safety precaution.

As hackers are now targeting Mac computers as well, it’s no longer wise to say, “Hey, I’m using Mac, why worry?”.

I hope you get my point. =)

Blackhats are scums, and they’ll probably hack anything worth hacking.. hell, most the time, even when it’s not!
With the millions of script kiddies i guess the simple GUI’s virus tools available on the net make OSes like these the victims.
I guess the only thing safe from viruses and similiar crap are UNIX, AS400? or safer yet.. unplug the network cable but that won’t do… =)
    Great site, btw. cheers!

  4. admin Says:

You’re right. The safest way is to unplug the cables and not to connect to the internet… =)

But maybe there are some blessings in disguise. The OS producers will work harder towards creating a better OS, perhaps?

Btw, cheers for the compliments. =)

There is not a single real exploit out there for OS X, no virus, no spyware, NOTHING.
So far, all OS X vulnerabilities that were patched DID NOT allow remote exploitation.

    FUD !
